Tammy Hughes
I first came to Atlanta from Arkansas to teach Spanish at GACS in 1985. After marrying and teaching for four wonderful years here, my husband's career called us to New York City. We ended up living for five years in New York, where I worked as a copy editor at Ogilvy and Mather ad agency.
Several years and one child later, in 1998, I came back to my first love-teaching. This year begins my tenth year of teaching English at GAC. I am thrilled to be back-and thank God daily for the blessing of being here and working with teenagers. I look forward to studying the common threads of our human journey together as we walk through the works of great American writers.
