My name is Jay Hamilton. I am originally from Hallsville, Missouri. I attended Oklahoma Christian University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Minor in Chemistry in 1995. I, later, furthered my education to receive a Masters of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University in 2003.
I began teaching at Greater Atlanta Christian School in the fall of 1996. In the summer of 1997, I married my college sweetheart and best friend, Leanna. Together, we are extremely blessed with two beautiful daughters, Katelin, age 8, who is in 3rd grade at GACS, and Abby, 23 months of age, a future Spartan.
My greatest passion in life is promoting Christ as best I can. I truly feel blessed to be in an environment, where I can grow as a Christian everyday, through my colleagues, students, and staff. I pray that each of my students may feel Christ’s presence in my life as I strive to educate them, not only with the concepts of Physics, but also, in God’s teachings. When my students have finished the curriculum and grown in Christ, with direction and the understanding to face the world and be ready for Heaven, then, I feel that I have succeeded.
