To know me you would need to be aware of the some of the following things about me. First of all, I am 59 years old and will turn 60 on the 25^th day of September.  I am married and will celebrate with Kathy our 31^st anniversary this coming April 9^th.  We have two children, both of which are Greater Atlanta Christian alumni.  They are both married.  Michael (28) is married to Sarah Beth Pace from Searcy, AR., and she works as a video producer for CNN. They live in Alpharetta, Michael working for Starbucks Corporation.  Melody (26) is married to Joel Coehoorn and lives in Evansville, WI.  He works as a computer programmer, and she is a full-time homemaker and mother.  Joel and Melody have given us our only grandchild, Alice Moreta who is the joy of our lives.  Our family is rounded out by our two “babies”, Schroeder and Lucy, two miniature daschunds.

My background lies in the areas of music and religion.  I hold degrees in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Music with a specialty in Choral Conducting and Musicology  from the University of Illinois.  I hold a certificate from the Nashville School of Preaching and am currently taking Bible classes through Harding University.  I have 17 years of public school teaching experience in Kentucky and Illinois and am in my 16^th year at GACS.  In between my public school and private school teaching, I served two congregations in ministerial roles for five years and also as an Elder for a period of four years.
