Cindy Lawrence
This is my ninth year at GACS. Previously I taught in public schools for ten years and tutored privately for fourteen years. I have had the opportunity to teach in every class from a lab for students with math difficulty through calculus. I received my BSEd from Abilene Christian University, and last year I completed a masters degree in educational technology from Lesley University. I am very excited about all of the possibilities for understanding mathematics which are opened because of advancements in technology. My husband, John, is a civil engineer, working on many interesting projects (involving a lot of math), such as the fifth runway to the Atlanta airport and the foundation of the new aquarium. My daughter, Kathryn, is 22. She graduated from Abilene Christian University this year in May and then in July was married. (I’ll post some wedding pictures when I get them!) My son, Joseph, graduated from GACS in 2005 and is now a sophomore at Abilene Christian University majoring in premed.
