Alan Henderson
Dr. Alan C. Henderson is excited to be back teaching at GACS this year and chairing the Senior High Bible Department! He previously taught senior Bible at GACS from 1994-2001.
For the past six years, Dr. Henderson has ministered full-time with the Southern Crescent Church, a congregation on the south side of the Atlanta metroplex. Since January 2001, he has also served as an adjunct instructor of Bible and missions at Atlanta Christian College in East Point.
Dr. Henderson and his wife Lanita have been married for 24 years and have two sons, Levi (15) and Josiah (7). The Hendersons met, fell in love, and married while undergraduate students at Lipscomb University. Upon completing their studies, they moved to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea where they served as missionaries from 1984-1986.
Though some might think it a little (or a lot!) crazy driving 102 miles round trip to the GACS campuseach day, Dr. Henderson says, “The students and their families are worth it!”
