Mandy Richey
I was born Amanda (Mandy) Ginger Eddins, the daughter of Tom and Melody Eddins, in Henderson, Kentucky on August 19, 1973. Most of my young life was spent in Searcy, Arkansas where my father was a college professor at Harding University.
I graduated from high school at Harding Academy in 1991. In 1993, I received a
Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Social Science Education from Harding University. In 2006, I earned my Masters of Education with an emphasis in Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia.
I am married to Gary Richey and we have two sons. Gary teaches in the Physical
Education department at GACS and is the Assistant Head Football Coach.
The 2007 – 2008 school year will mark my 14th year at Greater Atlanta Christian School. Currently I teach Civics, Geography, and Humanities. I am 8th grade head sponsor, chairman of the Junior High Social Science department, advisor to the GACS Chapter of National Junior Honor Society, and a member of the SACS Leadership Committee.
My personal interests include reading Harry Potter books, traveling to Europe (especially Florence, Italy as pictured above), watching football (GO IRISH!), and playing with my boys.
