About Mrs. Osteen . . .
Georgia has been my home now for 24 years. I was born in Jacksonville, Florida, grew up mostly in Houston, Texas, and graduated from High School in Birmingham, Alabama . A majority of my family still lives in Texas , although, Ihave siblings in California and New Hampshire also.
I graduated from David Lipscomb University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I have also attended Georgia State University where I completed a Master's degree in Early Childhood and UGA where I completed an Educational Specialist's degree in Instructional Technology. The UGA Faculty named me Graduate Student of the Year in 2006 after completing the Ed.S. degree in December 2005.
I taught in the Gwinnett County School System for 10 years before coming to GACS. I am in my 10th year at our school and love working with all of the teachers and students! When I am not teaching my sixth grade students, I work as the Technology Instructional Lead Teacher helping teachers utilize technology effectively for students' learning.
I have been married for 24 years to Frank Osteen and have two children, a sophomore at Lipscomb University in Nashville and a sophomore at GACS. My family attends the Buford Church of Christ where I sit on the Board of Directors for the Sonflower Preschool.
My favorite vacation spot is Florida (or really, any beach) and I love to read, play the piano and make videos on the computer!
