Shelley Woodward
My name is Shelley Woodward, but most of the students call me Señora Woodward. I have been married to my husband, Wells, for three years. I graduated from Lipscomb University in 1999 with a degree in Spanish. I’m currently working on my MEd in Early Childhood Education at the University of Georgia and will graduate this summer. This is my 6th year of teaching Spanish. I love watching children learn about languages and cultures that are different from their own.
I love to travel! My first opportunity was with Delta’s International Scholar’s Award. With that scholarship I was able to complete my last semester of college in Spain, which was incredible. I have also taken a group of high school students to Costa Rica and have gone to Mexico for vacation twice. I have also been on several mission trips; I’ve been to Honduras four times and Cozumel, Mexico three times. I will always be thankful to my college Spanish teacher, Cheryl Lindsay, for giving me a heart for missions.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with your wonderful children. God has blessed me with a job that I really love!
