My name is Shelley Woodward, but most of the students call me Señora Woodward.  I have been married to my husband, Wells, for three years.  I graduated from Lipscomb University in 1999 with a degree in Spanish.  I’m currently working on my MEd in Early Childhood Education at the University of Georgia and will graduate this summer.  This is my 6^th year of teaching Spanish.  I love watching children learn about languages and cultures that are different from their own.

I love to travel!  My first opportunity was with Delta’s International Scholar’s Award.  With that scholarship I was able to complete my last semester of college in Spain, which was incredible.  I have also taken a group of high school students to Costa Rica and have gone to Mexico for vacation twice.  I have also been on several mission trips; I’ve been to Honduras four times and Cozumel, Mexico three times.  I will always be thankful to my college Spanish teacher, Cheryl Lindsay, for giving me a heart for missions.
