Mrs. Rene' Melson

Hello!

My name is Rene' Harber Melson. I have been a teacher at GACS for 25 years! I love GACS!

I even attended high school at GACS. I started GACS in 1968 when I was an eighth grader. It was the first year that GACS was opened here on the Norcross campus. I have really seen some changes around here! I graduated in 1973 and attended Lipscomb University for one year and then came back to Georgia and completed my undergraduate degree at Georgia State University in 1977.

I have taught sixth grade, fourth grade and kindergarten, but I have taught third grade the longest amount of time. I truly love teaching this grade level.

I am also the assistant coach for the JH and Varsity swim team. This is our first full season in the new Freeman Aquatic Center.

I attend church at Campus Church of Christ.

I love to teach school and I view my teaching as a ministry. I want my students to learn the third grade curriculum but my greater goal is for my students to love the Lord and become closer to God this year.
