Kristy Shelton
My name is Kristy Shelton but all of my students call me Coachy. I have taught Elementary Physical Education classes at GACS for 26 years. Currently I teach 3rd - 5th grade PE, coach the varsity volleyball team, and lead the Honduras mission trip for high school students.
I received my BA in Physical Education from Harding University in 1980 and an MEd in 1981 from the University of Arkansas. My husband and I came to GAC to teach in 1982 and fell in love with this school. We consider the people at GAC as part of our extended family and are thankful that God brought us here.
I believe that physical education is a vital part of a students overall education. I'm thankful to teach at a school where students have PE class every day. It's important for our children to learn ways to take care of their bodies and stay active for a lifetime. I thank God for the opportunities I have every day to be with our awesome students!
"If it's not fun, then it's not PE!"
