Elementary Library Policy

Library
Here is where people,
One frequently finds,
Lower their voices
And raise their minds.
— Richard Armour

LOAN POLICY

Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book at a time.  Students in first through fifth grades are allowed two books.

If students need additional books for assigned projects, we gladly make exceptions to meet the need.

Parents are allowed to check out books under their child's name. Parents are not limited in number of books, but we do ask that books be returned on time.

Books are loaned for a two week period.

FINE POLICY

Fines are charged at the rate of .10 per day that the book is kept past the due date.

RENEWAL POLICY

Books are renewed for a two week period. Books must be brought to the library to be renewed.

There is no limit on the number of renewals.

"A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life."
— Henry Ward Beecher

The Sue Henderson Elementary Library gives a warm welcome to you.

We want to help each child at GACS to grow in wisdom, statue, and in favor with God and man. Toward that end, the elementary library strives to provide current and appropriate good books. We especially try to provide books by Christian authors and books that promote Christian principles.
