Mrs. Barbara Porter

Hello, my name is Barbara Porter. I am so glad to be your child's teacher. I am a native Atlantan. I did my undergraduate work at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee . I have two advanced degrees from Georgia State University . I joined the faculty of GACS in 1990. I have taught several grade levels at GACS, but second grade is my favorite. I really enjoy watching the children grow in their reading, writing, and math skills as the second grade goes by. I believe all children can learn and I believe they learn best in a calm, threat free environment. I believe learning is a life long journey. I plan to learn along with the children this year.
