I just returned from a tour around campus.  Oh my, how the school has changed.  As a part of this legacy year I took my new drama students on a walking tour of dramatic highlights.  It was a great trip down memory lane for me.  We walked into the upstairs hallway of the Tidwell building and noted where the theatre used to be, with the dressing rooms in what are now the upstairs bathrooms.  We reminisced how the fire alarm went off during “Hello Dolly” and everyone had to exit through the stage out the back door.  We walked over to the Campus Church auditorium stage and pulled the black curtain back to reveal the “Camelot” scene still painted on the wall.  We talked of the freshman initiation of being thrown into the baptistery—and now you know why we have a glass cover.  We talked of the unrehearsed swimming scene in “Brigadoon”.  We then traveled over by Liles Media Center and discussed  the productions we’d performed in the Lecture Hall.  As we came down the hall we stopped at the plaque in memory of Jodi Wagoner; a beautiful eighth grade girl who suddenly passed away during our preparation for “Peter Pan”.  We finished by going by the trophy case to see the SETC trophy.  We were only the second school in Georgia to win this award.  As of today there are only four schools.  Like they said, “That little Christian school took it all.”  I hope as we go through this year you will have an opportunity to come by and take your own memory tour.  Thank you for making my life full of good dramatic memories.  I hope we see you soon.
