Annual Fund Campaign
Each year the development staff leads an effort to raise money for the GACS Fund, the specific name for the annual fund efforts at our school. The GACS Fund is used to help provide those special projects and programs that are important to the school, but outside of the basic operation costs.
The 2006-2007 GACS Fund totaled over $300,000. The campaign for the GACS Fund was conducted along with the Higher Ground Capital Campaign. This was the first time that an annual fund drive and a capital campaign were conducted in the same year.
During the 2007-2008 school year the fund will be used to enhance safety and security efforts, provide for the increased use of technology, and support the professional development of the GACS faculty. The GACS Fund goal for the 2007-2008 school year is $600,000.
Efforts to encourage current parents to give to the GACS Fund will begin in August with a mail campaign and hopefully, conclude with a successful year-end ask to the entire community. This year, each giver to the GACS Fund will receive a car magnet that denotes the 40th Anniversary of our school.
